Christmas at the Second Chance Chocolate Shop by Kellie Hailes

Dear Reader,

First I would like thank both Netgalley and HQ Digital for allowing me a copy to review in exchange for an honest review.

Kellie Hailes bring us back to Rabbit’s Leap in the third instalment of the series and how good it is to be back. Now do not worry if you have not read the previous two books in the series, Christmas at the Second Chance Chocolate Shop, can be read as a stand-alone. It is the first time that we meet both Serena and Ritchie properly.

Serena arrives back home and she is about to open up a chocolate shop in the town. She has just left her husband Ritchie who is a rock-star and very famous but she just left him leaving a note explaining this. She wants this time for herself and to find out who she really is and to see if she can make a go of this new business. So she was not expecting him to turn up and in Rabbit’s Leap of all places and of course just before the grand opening of her shop. Ritchie is desperately trying to win Serena back but it is not going to be easy. We also learn of some secrets that he has kept hidden even from Serena about his past and years later still effects his relationships.

Plenty of drama follows between the two of them and there are some lovely romantic moments between them. Also we have the relationship between Serena and her mother which is a bit fraught on her return home and they work on this.

This is a lovely read and plenty of comical moments. It is a must to read this Christmas!

Enjoy!

Ailish xx
