Love at the Italian Lake is a beautiful heartwarming novel set on the shores of Lake Garda in the picturesque town of Malcesine. 

First our story begins in London where we meet Sophia Bertoni who is currently living with her boyfriend Lee who is sponging off her. Sophia has a high-end job and a beautiful apartment and Lee enjoys the carefree life and spending Sophia's money.  One afternoon Sophia arrives home to find Lee in bed with another woman and this is a wake-up call for Sophia who knows she has to make some big decisions with her life. 

So she decides to go and stay with her Nonna, Katherine Spinoli in Malcesine in Lake Garda for awhile to see what she is going to do with her life and make a plan. It is here that she meets Joe Lancaster who quite literally knocks her off her feet at the Airport in Verona who as it happens is spending the summer in the same town!

While Sophia is staying in Malcesine she accidentally stumbles upon a family secret and Joe we learn also has some family difficulties of his own. So will these discoveries hinder a blossoming relationship before it even starts?

Well you will have to read it to find out! 

Darcie Boleyn has a lovely way of building up her characters in her stories. There are so many layers to them. I cannot wait for the next release!

Covent Garden in the Snow by Jules Wake

    First, I would like to thank both Netgalley and Harper Impulse for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review . I was delighted to read the latest from Jules Wake as I really enjoyed ‘From Paris with Love’ and even better Covent Garden in the Snow is based around Christmas and is now my new favourite! Here we meet Tilly Hunter who works at the London Metropolitan Opera Company in the make-up department. Tilly loves working here and is really passionate about her work. The only thing she hates is using the computer which she tends to avoid and a prime example is when she sends a personal email which ends up being sent to the entire company and to make matters worse she opens an attachment and downloads a virus.
